Flitwick has a long history, and is mentioned in the Domesday Book as being "a hamlet on the River Flitt".
As well as being ideally situated for commuters and a wide range of local businesses, we are also close to several amenities and leisure facilities, including:
Places of Interest
The River Flit runs through this wetland which is a dedicated 'Site of Special Scientific Interest' run by The Wildlife Trust.
A weekly market is held every Friday in the Village Hall car park. A variety of market stalls offer local produce - from bread to fish, fruit and veg and haberdashery.
Flitwick Leisure Centre
The sports centre on Steppingly Road includes a swimming pool, gym, and squash courts. See the Stevenage Leisure website for further information.
Center Parcs, Woburn Forest
A new holiday village set in 375 acres of woodland on the outskirts of Flitwick. This is the most recent park to be opened by Center Parcs. Visit the Center Parcs website for more information.
